Decorating for Fall: Fall into Comfort

As a designer, I do everything in three’s.  Here is one more style board to get you in the decorating mood for fall. Autumn, for me, is about colder weather, changing leaves, and spending more time at home with friends and family.  I love the look below because of the warmth the color palette gives.  The deep shades of orange and chocolate make me want to wrap myself in one of those wool blankets and sip hot chocolate on my back deck.  With the changing leaves being such a dominant characteristic of fall, you can’t help but incorporate nature into your decor.  Natural materials like wool, linen, wood, twigs, and leaves themselves all make fantastic accents as you style your home for the coming months.  Keep it from getting too heavy and ‘hunting lodge-like’ by mixing in crisp white accessories, this gives a classic warm color palette a nice modern edge. Suzi - Loving the comfort looks as that is what Fall means to me, getting house all cosy, simmering comfort foods like harvest stews all shared with family and friends.
