I am still reeling from all of the positive feedback I have gotten over the past few days on the Made + Remade article. Not to mention all of the added traffic to my little blog! No pressure Samantha, no pressure….
Speaking of pressure, if buying a new house and being named a Creative Genius wasn’t enough last week, I am officially live on HGTV and the DIY Network! If you guys follow me on any of my social media outlets you saw me posting a few months ago when the film crew poured into my Atlanta studio and filmed me doin’ my thang.
The promo is running during commercial breaks randomly on both channels each day, so glue your cute butt to your most stylish chair and watch non-stop until you see me. Don’t act like you have anything better to do! ;)
Since I don’t have a copy of the segment to share yet, I thought it would be cool to show some of the behind-the-scene photos members from the crew took during the 13 hour shoot.
I’m not going to lie, those lights were hot! Girl was sweatin! This was the interview portion set up in my design studio, sitting in my favorite chair.
They shot a bunch of B Roll (look at that fancy lingo I learned) of me working at my worktable (which I built myself)…and of course Tucker could not be left out. He and his sister Phoebe stole the show. Isn’t he photogenic!?!Then we packed up all that gear and hit the road to finish the day at my workshop.I hammered, I drilled, I built a damn cabinet, but no, the crew was only interested in the classic cars sharing my space…My dad’s garage is next door to my workshop, and of course he happened to have the garage doors open when the cameras came in…
…so I waited…
Back to work people! Let’s bring dad in for a few fatherly moments. I am the son he never had ya’ know. Except I’m better, because I’m a girl.“Is that a gouge in your hand, or are you just happy to see me?” I did a little turning just to show off…
I will admit it was a long ass day, but I had so much fun! I am officially ready for my own show on HGTV, let me know when you guys are ready…until then, thank you so much to the HGTV/DIY Network team, Heather, Chris, Kim, Jonathan, and entire crew of North Creative! Here’s me and the amazingly talented director Jonathan Hayes at the end of the day.
That’s a wrap!
