Brian and I are in full swing getting the house pulled together. Finding time each night after work is a struggle when all we really want to do is heat up our paleo pre-made meals, curl up on the couch, and watch Parks & Rec and Cougar Town on our DVR. BUT…as the one that is never quite at ease until everything is in place, I am pushing us to move through our to-do list.
I am a believer that you should always have a retreat among chaos when renovating a home, that goes for living in ‘box hell’ after a move too. Our master bedroom is first on that list. We officially installed our full Elfa closet system (psst… it’s still all on sale at the Container Store if you’re in the market…) Brian finished painting the bedroom from a horrendous deep red to a soothing gray, and we had new hickory hardwood floors installed on the entire top floor. Bye bye carpet!
We finished installing our new West Elm curtains last night, now all that is left is getting our furniture in place, unpacking the last of our boxes full of clothes and hanging our pictures/art. I’ll take some fancy photos once we get it all done, but until then, take a peek at the look with my Master Bedroom mood board.
