Happy Monday party people! I hope your weekends were as great as mine. My ‘friends-giving’ was a blast! Good people, great drinks, and all the turducken you could eat made for a memorable night. Even better?…I was not the host so the aftermath of such an amazing party was not strewn across my kitchen Sunday morning. Perfect.
I am in a great mood today. I know, Monday is supposed to be a crappy day starting a long work week BUT this is the week…wait for it….we are closing on our new house!!! Wow, that felt good. I have been keeping it a secret until we knew it was going to actually happen. I hope this doesn’t jinx it. As of Thursday we will be new homeowners! (our second home actually, as we are selling our first one up in NC as we speak)
Anyway, enough about that. Wanted to share my little West Elm love fest from last Thursday. The amazing peeps at WE are at it again.
This time West Elm partnered with Camille Styles to design a cute little paper lantern DIY project for the holiday season.
We had a HUGE turnout at my local Atlanta store, over 60 RSVP’d, I think around 30 actually came. Crazy!!Dayle organizes all of the events at West Elm Atlanta and she is amaze-balls. Even though this project seems simple, it had quite a few steps to get through and she taught them like a champ! Follow her on Instagram @dbpics1920 Love her!
We didn’t actually have snowflakes to stipple, so Dayle improvised and we used doilies. Still super cute.
We made the small version of the lantern in class, but I like how a large and small look together on a tablescape.
I went with a ‘falling snowflake’ vibe instead of the doily stencil. The great thing about this project is you can do any design you want.
And here is my bad boy awaiting a candle to set the mood and get us all in the holiday spirit. Jesus, is it that time of year already!?!
